Lussim Simmentaler

The original stud was purchased in 2007. It was enhanced with selected top rated cows from other independent registered studs from the same region.

Semen for the artificial insemination programme are sourced from the best of imported and local suppliers. The focus is on building and maintaining a top genetic pool with a preference for polled animals. Embryos from the following cows were flushed in 2007 and transplanted into properly prepared recipient cows in February 2008:

The stud bulls employed in the herd to compliment the artificial insemination programme have been with us since 2008.
